Moreton Experience Camp

Since 1983 Alan Genninges has personally hosted school camps and special interest groups on Mulgumpin (Moreton Island) at Blue Lagoon, Moreton Island National Park

The Moreton Experience wilderness camp is located on the surf side of Moreton Island. (eastern side)

A short walk (100 metres) to the ocean beach to watch moon and sunrises over the Pacific Ocean.

From May through till late October whales are often seen from the beach just beyond the surf zone.

The fresh water Blue Lagoon 400 metres from camp, perfect for a refreshing swim.

The diverse wildflower heathlands adjacent to Lake Honeyeater are a 800 metres walk from camp.

Sea breezes keep the site cool during the hottest days.

The beach provides easy 4WD access to Cape Moreton, Mt Tempest and The Little Sandhills.







Alan Genninges., has over 40 years of personal experience and knowledge acquired while conducting camps on Moreton Island. Alan graduated from University of Queensland with majors in the Biological Sciences and a Master of Science, Zoology. Alan's hands on experience and formal qualifications mean he is well qualified to support your special interest excursion.

Camping and days tours for individuals and groups.

Specializing in small group affordable charter with an itinerary tailored to suit your interests .Itinerary is developed in consultation with each group to take account of your ininterests. The programme remains flexible so that we can adapt to the weather conditions as they unfold. Alan provides vehicle drop off and pick up so you can enough stunning through walks.

Costs include MICat passenger fares ($72) and Park camping and tourist charges ($10 per day)

Alan also hosts Moreton Island Protection Committee Inc volunteers who care for Mulgumpin (Moreton Island) by hand weeding, propagating and planting out, and removing rubbish. Moreton Island Protection Committee website
